Latest news: - The 2019 New England Regional Championships was a very successful one. We had 9 competitors: Anqi Hou, Bianca Hammer, Carol Sugrue, Emma Blanchette, Emma Fossum, Lauren Jeong, Mariapia Asca, Mia Vientos, Katie Turcotte. Si x of them qualified for the final rounds - Katie, Carol, Lauren, Mia, Emma Fossum and Anqi. At the preliminary rounds our skaters won 1 gold medal (Lauren), 1 bronze (Emma Fossum) and 2 pewter ( Katie and Mia). Lauren, Mia, Katie, Mariapia and Emma Fossum won 7 USFS gold special achievements pins. At the Championships round for Juvenile Lauren Jeong won pewter medal and qualified for Eastern Sectionals. Great job, girls! - Anastasia Vaipan-Law represented Great Britain at the Junior Grand Prix event in Ljubljana, Slovenia, October 4-8, and finished in 14-th place out of 36 competitors. Congratulations! - Congratulations to all our skaters who participated at the 2018 Boston Open ! Special kudos to the gold medalists Lauren Jeong, Victoria Ciesla and Julia Ciesla, as well as to the other medal winners Jennifer Sugrue, Kiana Angelier, and Evgenia Milios ! - Club member Teodora Markova and her partner Simon Daze represented Bulgaria at the ISU Challenger Series competitions U.S. International FIgure Skating Classic in Salt Lake City, Utah and Autumn Classic in Canada. They finished in 7-th place at both competitions. - Great job for all of our participants at Providence Open and Little New England Championships this past weekend in Providence, RI ! Special kudos to those who won medals: Katie Turcotte - two bronze medals at Intermediate level, Victoria Ciesla - gold at the preliminary round and pewter at the final round in Pre-Preliminary, Julia Ciesla - gold in the qualifying and bronze in the final at High Beginner level, Kiana Angelier - bronze at the qualifying round in High Beginner. - Congratulations to our club member Anastasia Vaipan-Law who finished in 17-th place in a tough field of 34 Junior ladies from 29 countries. She represented Great Britain at the second Junior Grand Prix event of the season - the Cup of Austria in Linz. Special kudos to the Juvenile Girls Final round Champion and winner of the Helen Oak Award Lauren Jeong! Congratulations also to Katie Turcotte and Emma Fossum who medaled at the qualifying rounds and skated at the final rounds of the Intermediate and Juvenile events! We are proud of all of you! - Our August 18-th test session in Newington was a huge success. Congratulations to all who passed! Elisabeth was a very successful intermediate level skater last season and Mariapia will compete at the Intermediate level during the 2018-2019 season. Join us in wishing them all the best for this coming season! In addition, the club would like to thank NEICC for providing Training Scholarships to New England are skaters at the Intermediate level and below.
